I am using an arduino nano, i have an ldr connected to a0 and a tmp 37 temp sensor to a1 Labview community edition already comes with linx installed and the package in package manager is known to cause issues when installed on top of the community edition. The arduino uno r4 wifi uses a renesas ra4m1 microprocessor i believe linx and the more recent labview hobbyist toolkit only supports atmega based arduinos so until ni adds support for the renesas micro it's not going to work. Ok, installing the digilent linx package on top of labview 2020 community edition may be your issue Sam and supposedly others were continuing on linx while at digilent but somewhere around 2016 this pretty much stopped until it was revived for inclusion into the labview community edition in 2019
At least since that time it was fully open source on github but most likely it was before, i just didn't happen to hear about it.
Linx only supports the /dev/spidev0.1 device as spi device 0 (naming schemes are usually arbitrary and seldom logical 😁) the linx library insists on doing some custom handshaking of its own, possibly a reminder of early raspi driver implementations, or maybe simply a misunderstanding how spi works on the raspi in comparison to an arduino. Linx/hobbyist comes with already built firmware for the arduino that works with the labview api Once you go through the device setup from the tools menu entry you'll have an arduino that works with the toolkit.
The linx firmware wizard loads smoothly using like the normal mega 2560 model board As the mega 2560 pro mini is the same processor and they are compatible, i thought i would have no problems I tested it on compatibles uno r3 and nano v3.0 and whatever type of board selected in the firmware wizard for them, it works the same.
